Novotel Bali Benoa is taking a step further in enhancing the awareness of protecting the earth through its Plant a Tree Program.

In conjunction with our commitment to a sustainable environment and its continued similar program to Earth Guest Day, Novotel Bali Benoa was doing other “Plant for the Planet” social actions on Friday, 23^rd September 2011 in the two different locations. These trees planting programs are designed to reduce the climate change and to invite local community, especially across Tanjung Benoa and Nusa Dua areas to participate on this.

The first action undertaken by the staff and management as well as guests of Novotel Bali Benoa was planting 10 productive trees, such as water apple (jambu air), guava (jambu biji merah), pomelo (jeruk bali), great hog plum (kedondong), mango, jackfruit, hairy fruit (rambutan), sapodilla (sawo) and sugar apple (srikaya) in the hotel grounds. Mr. Olivier Moies-Delval, General Manager of Novotel Bali Benoa assisted by our repeater guest planted a tree for the first time to mark the beginning of planting tree program on that day. The growth of the above trees will be monitored regularly by our team.

With the slogan “One Plant, One Life, One Planet” written in the banner, Novotel Bali Benoa staff and management also the guests were doing long march from the Lagoon field to the traffic light Nusa Dua – Denpasar accompanied by a Baleganjur, the traditional Balinese music. We distributed 50 productive trees, free of charge, to the road users to be planted in their garden.

"Through these planting tree campaigns, we hope our guests as well as the local communities will do the same action as us to save the earth," he added.
